Canine Massage Therapy

How will my dog benefit from Massage Therapy?

The benefits your dog may experience from massage therapy include:

Improving circulation, which is the river of life.  Improved blood supply to the muscles
carries greater oxygen and nutrients to where they are needed.

Improved blood supply also stimulates the lymphatic system improving your dog's immunity.

Assists in the removal of toxins from the joints, reducing inflammation and may ease arthritis.

Encourages healing post injury or surgery by reducing the formation of scar tissue and
      improving muscle function.

Post massage stretch also assists recovery by strengthening muscles up to 19%.

Stimulates the sebaceous glands improving the dog's skin and coat

Relaxes dogs that may suffer from nervous tension.

Dogs of all ages will benefit from massage, whether they are a show dog, a competing athlete or a
companion.  It is important to note that canine massage requires specialised training in canine
anatomy to ensure the techniques selected are appropriate for the dog and achieve the desired
result.
Always consult a qualified Canine Myofunctional Therapist to massage your dog.

Will massage help all Dogs?

There are some medical issues that prevent treatment from being administered, and you will be advised before the massage begins.  As a qualified Canine Myofunctional Therapist, I will gather an extensive medical history to ensure the massage will be safe and effective for your dog.  Some issue may require vet approval before proceeding.  When making an appointment, you will be advised if this may be necessary.

How do I make an appointment?

I provide a mobile service in the Sutherland Shire of Sydney, so I will travel to you.  An initial consultation will take approximately an hour and is $50.  Subsequent appointments are $40 for a 30-40 min massage.  If you are interested in further information, or making an appointment, click here.
